🌐“Highly Ineffective Protests and the Blow hard Bullhorns that DJ the Crowd”🌐
💀BY FELONIOUS ACADEMIC💀
🌐🌐🌐There is something incredibly profound, how Americans block six lanes of traffic to announce that annonce to them, society is collapsing. The modern protester has perfected the idocracy thats comes from their art of protesting. Raising their hands for socalled virtuous callings, filling their otherwise voided emptiness.
🌐🌐🌐 they then result this virtue hostility towards public awareness. They glue themselves to highways, throw fuckin àsoup at paintings protected by security glass, scream out of tune through their megaphones, and more then occasionally behave as though civilization can be saved by their acts of rebellion.
🌐🌐🌐 Disruption attracts cameras. Cameras attract algorithms. Algorithms attract millions of spectators who may have no fuckin idea what the protest was even about,
🌐🌐🌐but now know exactly what the protester's mangled faces looked like while being dragged off the pavement out of traffic.
🌐🌐🌐This has always created the great optical catastrophe of activism, ripping their public relations with the common man to shreds.
🌐🌐🌐 the protest can only succeed spectacularly while the protester looks spectacularly stupid, to say the veryleast. disruptive tactics can increase media attention, sure, while simultaneously damaging public perceptions of the activists themselves.
🌐It's political slapstick with consequences, folks.
🌐The activist thinks, I am forcing society to confront its moral complacency.
🌐🌐🌐Somewhere, a news producer is whispering, “ FUCKIN Beautiful. Get me another angle of the guy screaming erraticly.”
🌐🌐🌐But dismissing protest because protesters sometimes look ridiculous misses the darker genius of the colletives mechanism, if implimented correctly.
🌐🌐🌐A protest doesn't always need to fuckin make you love the protesters o. The picket line.sometimes it only needs to infect your consciousness with the initial problem at be. these hooligans are screaming about shit too loud for the ear to hear.
🌐🌐🌐 A movement can easily lose the popularity that the mases contest and still win the spinning news cycle. That's what makes disruptive protest so fascinating, even with protests success rates being ne t to Nathan.
🌐🌐🌐it is essentially political graffiti written across the public's day. You don't have to like the vandalism to read the wall, you just have to see it. And historically, some injustices required precisely that kind of fuckin interruption because polite society has an extraordinary talent for saying,
🌐“That's terrible,” while continuing to eat lunch, At a resting heart rate.
🌐🌐🌐The real danger, then, isn't protest. It's confusing the spectacle with thickened substance. Once you've successfully forced everyone to look, the question becomes whether there is anything worth seeing.
🌐make it worth more while in knowing, then one can afford not to know.
🌐🌐🌐Anybody can manufacture outrage. They muster that up with a few clciks of the mouse pad. Anybody can scream loudly enough to become tomorrow's viral idiot On the screen. The fuckin difficult part is making the audience remember the idea behind the outrage. sometimes the messenger arrives wearing a cardboard burger king crown, screaming into a bullhorn, while the audience is holding a burger and thinking what you're yelling about. If you're going to interrupt civilization, then Felonious Academic suggests at least having something intelligent to say before civilization starts wishing it had a mute button to shut you up themselves.
