👁👁👁“Virality Virus, The Fever of Attention”👁👁👁
💥BY Felonious Academic💥
👁👁👁HERE I type this in a haze, as the neon buzzing of a thousand notifications hums like a melodic low grade fever in the back of my skull. Once upon a time, William Burroughs told us that words were viruses, but he couldn’t have imagined how deep the contagion would eventually burrow when attention became the currency. Virality is a virus, and we are all its pathetic fuckin hosts, stumbling addicts in a fever dream of constant cheap recognition.
👁👁👁This isn’t a polite epidemic, fuck that. this is chasing the dragon in reverse. a shot of adrenaline, each retweet a drop of poison. We don’t fuckin just crave attention, we're motherfuckin devoured by it, no longer writers, but biting vectors, hitchhikers on a pathogen of desire germs. Virality is the ghost in the machine, a word virus that mutates every time we click, and every time we fuckin die a little more waiting for the next goddamn spike.
👁👁👁But listen, this isn’t just a crash, it’s a damn crossroads. We are not just infected, we are also the cure, that is if we choose to be. We can weaponize our attention, not as a slave to the feed but as a disruption to the void. Virality is a virus, but we, we are the ones who hold the antidote, the vaccine, thats if only we fuckin dare to step off this fevered carousel and write something that breaks the goddamn loop.
