💀💀Your Attention Has Been Sacrificed to the Algorithm💀💀

💥💥💥Bryan Gysin built the Dreamachine trying to pick the lock of the human skull front door. With Flickering lights battering closed eyelids until the brain started throwing its own private fireworks finale. William Burroughs attacked the same mental prison with scissors, cutting language into pieces and tossing the dismembered alphabet back onto the page limb by limb. These guys weren't making cute little art projects for people who fuckin own seventeen black turtlenecks. They were conducting unauthorized maintenance on the human operating system itself. The question was poeticly simple,
💥 What happens if you interrupt perception long enough to see who's been driving this thing?
💥💥💥Then somewhere along the way civilization got hold of the experiment, putting it behind glass, adding a warranty, and sell it for $899. Gysin's flickering light became the devices screens that we stare into today. Its like the Dreamachine escaped the damn darkroom and moved into everybody's pocket. But Gysins mechanism had you close your eyes. Our version makes you keep them peeled open until they resemble two dehydrated raisins. Swipe.
💥Flicker. Swipe. Flicker.
💥 It learns what scares you, what amps rages in you, what makes your dick hard, and most importantly,
💥what keeps your thumb moving.
💥The old Dreamachine produced hallucinations. The new one has analytics. We've finally automated the occult and given it a goddamn Terms of Service agreement.
💥Burroughs called language a virus. People thought he was being poetic with his words. Turns out he was just early to the show. The modern feed is the ultimate literary cut-up,
💥a war crime, a dancing OF model, a prescription advertisement, a conspiracy, and a man screaming about immigrants, all chopped together and shoved through the same neurological feeding tube.
💥💥💥We call it a feed, which is adorable. Something is feeding. Maybe it's us. Maybe it's the machine. Maybe we're just the cattle standing around arguing about what's on the menu. The old magician needed candles, chanting, strange symbols, and a effigy to sacrifice. We have a glowing rectangle, Wi-Fi, and a impulsive thumb. Same ritual. Better fuckin graphics.
💥💥💥Gysin built a machine that made you hallucinate with your eyes closed. We built one that makes us hallucinate with our eyes open. What he wanted was to break perception so we could see the machinery under realitys hood. Where we surrounded ourselves with so damn much machinery that we forgot there was even a difference. The Dreamachine was an experiment in consciousness. The smartphone is what happened when that experiment got a venture capitalist makeover, married advertising, had three good fo nothing children, and bought a data center.
💥💥💥The machine watches us now. It remembers what makes us afraid, what makes us angry, what makes us lonely, and what makes us reach for the phonefirst thing in the morning like frightened little raccoons checking whether civilization has finally ended yet. Then it serves the fear back to us, personalized and monetized. This is Burroughs socalled virus. Gysin called it an experiment. Silicon Valley calls it engagement gold. We call it
💥“the end of man itself”

For an experiment if one were to take DMT and look at their phone….they would see the phone under the phone and it’s pretty eye opening. Just sayin’
The end is the beginning
